Pola atau rumus dasar dari Passive Voice adalah Tobe + Past Participle (V3). Nah, tobe yang digunakan adalah tobe present, yaitu is, am dan are. Oleh karena itu, pola nya menjadi:

Tobe (is, am atau are + V3).

PENTING! Tobe yang digunakan selalu berdasarkan Subjek kalimat.

1. Kalimat aktif : I usually drink a glass of milk in the morning.

Kalimat pasif : A glass of milk is usually drunk by me in the morning.

• Subjek di kalimat aktif berubah menjadi objek di kalimat pasif (I menjadi me).
• Objek di kalimat aktif berubah menjadi subjek di kalimat pasif.
